Our first “Celebrate America” Pep Rally was a tremendous success. Over 200 people joined us for this patriotic event.
The tone was set by Genevieve DeBrecht who led us in the invocation and Pledge of Allegiance in front of a huge American Flag, loaned to us by Craig Witte, owner of Perkins Restaurant.
We were fortunate to have BGen. Jim Cash and Mr. Jerry Molen as guest speakers. They told us in no uncertain terms that our country was in great danger and if we wanted our children to have the same or a better life than ours we better get involved and stop our elected officials in Washington D.C. The crowd was in total agreement and showed it by giving the speakers multiple standing ovations.
We would like to thank the Vista Linda for serving a delicious meal, and High Country Linens, for providing us with elegant table cloths.
Also a special Thank You to The Docks in Lakeside, Tamarack Brewery, Perkins Restaurant, Patricia Christopherson, Lynda Collins, Lois Lauman and Yvonne Stotler for donating baskets for our raffle.
Yvonne Stotler and her organizing committee could not have put on such a successful event without the help of so many people.
We need to inform our local citizens so they can get involved and support candidates who represent “We the people”.
