The Flathead County Republican Women presented four local students with $500 scholarships during the club’s meeting on May 17. The Flathead County Republican Women are offering four $500.00 scholarships for Flathead Valley students for the school year beginning in the fall of 2010.
The first two scholarships are to be used for tuition at the college or university of a student’s choice. The third grant is exclusively for a student who chooses to study in the fall of 2010 at Flathead Valley Community College. The fourth scholarship is for a student who has been attending FVCC full-time this past year and who will be continuing his/her studies at FVCC in the fall of 2010.
1. Applicant for the first three grants must be a high school senior in Flathead County.
2. Applicants must demonstrate scholarship, and must have a grade point average of no lower than 3.5.
3. Two letters of recommendation must be enclosed, one being from a teacher.
4. Applicant must be a Republican.
