FVCC TO HOST FREE LECTURE ON ELECTION PROCESS

On April 8, Flathead Valley Community College will host the free lecture, “Elections and You,” presented by FVCC Political Science Instructor Jeremy Fritz.

Sponsored by the college’s Continuing Education Center and Student Teams for Election Assistance in Montana (STEAM) program, Fritz’s presentation on the election process will include the history of political parties and their roles, the electoral college, terms of office, state and local election processes, rules and regulations of polling locations and campaign fundraising. Open to the public, the lecture will take place April 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. in room 144 inside the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus.

Local candidates and Flathead County election officials will be present to address questions and welcome comments.
